Occupy Wall Street started out almost entirely white in a minority white city.
Occupy Memphis is currently almost entirely white in a minority white city.
How is a space that insists on the democratic empowerment of the people capable of leaving out those most in need of power? Why is a space that demands the return of stolen wealth barely attended by those who have had the most stolen? How can spaces claiming to represent this country's 99% draw only the upper 35%? The questions aren't window dressing. If we can't comprehend and answer them, it proves we don't understand what we are doing, or ourselves, and we will be beaten again and again.
