Abstract Note
This past Saturday, 26 Canadian cities held demonstrations to kick off our nation’s entry into the now global movement of occupations, which burst onto the North American scene a month ago with the beginning of Wall Street’s occupation in Zuccotti park. Around 16 Canadian cities now have occupations taking place.
This list is by no means comprehensive – these are only the links easily available today. Given how little mention Hamilton saw, there are likely many more communities we missed, and undoubtedly many more who are still in the organizing stages.
