Abstract Note

Justin James Bridges was a victim of police brutality on November 13th when police raided the Occupy Portland encampment at Chapman and Lownsdale Squares. He was one of several peaceful protesters who left the site in an ambulance and was hospitalized. Before the attack, he was energetic and active, playing blues guitar for a living and volunteering to interpret for the deaf at Occupy Portland meetings. Now, over three weeks after the attack, he's in a wheelchair, has severe pain in his back and shoulder, and has loss of feeling and movement in his right arm and right leg.
