Occupy Wall Street

October 24, 2011

Occupy Wall Street is an ongoing series of demonstrations initiated by the Canadian
activist group Adbusters in New York City, headquartered in Zuccotti Park in
the Wall Street financial district, protesting social and economic inequality, corporate
greed, corporate power and influence over government (particularly from the financial
services sector), and of lobbyists.

The original protest began on September 17, 2011, in New York City and by October 9,
similar demonstrations were either ongoing or had been held in 70 major cities and
over 600 communities in the U.S. Internationally, over 900 cities are modeled themselves
after Occupy Wall Street protests.

The opinions, beliefs, or views expressed in some these photographs are those
of the Occupy Wall Street protesters and do not necessarily reflect my personal
opinions, beliefs, or views.
