#S17 OWS First Year Anniversary. The arrests started quickly with these taking place just before 8 a.m. at the very early stages of the march. The protestor backing into the van was arrested. The gentleman to the left is retired Episcopal Bishop George Packard. His arrest was the first that I personally saw directly after he addressed an assembly across the street from Liberty Park. He marched briefly & was quickly detained. Several members of "Veterans for Peace" were among the first arrested as well. [My account is anecdotal & not verified.]
