Abstract Note
End corporate domination of our political process. Fight Corporate Greed. Jobs not cuts!
Hawai'i has had a long tradition of malama 'aina and the idea that we are all caretakers of the common land, air, wai and moana.
Corporations (sugar, pineapple and lately Monsanto and developers) came to these islands and exploited them until now Maui is groaning from her wounds and her people are displaced.
Thanks to the corporations' greed, we've gone from 'aina momona to ill health and poverty. Now we are fighting back.
(Maui's color is pink and our flower is the roselani, thus the design for Occupy Maui. )
