Abstract Note
Occupyerie was created as a direct response to the Occupy Wall St. protesters and the movement which was birthed from those initial campers in Zucotti Park. At first, there were several individuals who created their own Facebook groups and Twitter streams, but they quickly combined efforts to push the Occupy movement forward in Erie, PA. Occupyerie is growing as rapidly as Occupy Wall St. has, and is committed to spread the message:
“Our nation, our species and our world are in crisis. The US has an important role to play in the solution, but we can no longer afford to let corporate greed and corrupt politics set the policies if our nation. We, the people of the United States of America, considering the crisis at hand, now reassert our sovereign control of our land.
Solidarity Forever!”
