Abstract Note
Occupy Fargo-Moorhead stands in solidarity with Occupy Wall St, and we agree with and support the Declaration of the Occupation of New York City accepted by the NYC General Assembly on September 29, 2011. This movement is growing from the seeds of frustration and discontent with the status quo. Cities are starting their own groups in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street http://www.facebook.com/OccupyWallSt
Join us, and let's talk about what we need.
This is the audio and minutes from our first meeting.
The main topics addressed were:
I. We agreed to use the consensus model.
II. We agreed to stand in solidarity with Occupy Wall St, and we adopted the
Declaration of the Occupation of New York City accepted by the NYC General Assembly on September 29, 2011. http://nycga.cc/2011/09/30/declaration-of-the-occupation-of-new-york-city/
III. Everyone in attendance became an admin on the Facebook page to decentralize authority.
IV. One of us agreed to write a first draft of a letter to the editor.
Other topics discussed include the need for peace and integrity; ways to be inclusive; how to support the American Crystal Sugar workers
