Abstract Note
Work on expanding the participant base of the Occupy Grand Rapids community, and inviting people throughout Grand Rapids to occupy their neighborhoods, campuses, workplaces or anything else they find in common with their neighbors, fellow students and workers, etc. (Remember, Occupation is not limited to camping; conversation is the core.)
This group is similar to outreach but not quite the same. Instead of just trying to find people throughout the community that we can help, the group works on establishing neighborhood assemblies and local sub-communities. This way people can get more involved without needing to travel to the city center all the time. And so we aren't overly dependent on any one location.
