Abstract Note
Join us for a rally and march in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street. Saturday, October 15, 2:00 PM, in downtown Blacksburg, College Avenue at N. Main St.(302 N. Main St., in front of the Cellar restaurant).
Blacksburg has joined in solidarity with the Occupy Wall street movement. Our lives as workers, teachers, students, retired people, have not escaped the degradation by the owners of wealth who have captured our government. We've been waiting a long time for a movement that brings together the 99% to struggle for a just society.
Please use the facebook page to discuss the movement, share relevant items, express your joy or outrage, and share crucial information about the unstoppable sequence of actions we'll carry out.
We should remember that there are many voices in this movement and as much diversity among the protesters as there is in 99% of our population. These different backgrounds, philosophies, and affiliations can and should come together under a single cause: to end the corporate greed, corruption, and interference that has affected all of us. No one group, person, or website could ever speak for this diverse gathering of individuals. In solidarity with Occupy Wall St., those who occupy all across the world, and the diverse people involved with this movement. - Occupy Together
