Friends, last night 130 fellow occupiers were taken from us as they defended our rights to assemble and free speech. As of 9:30pm Sunday most of our friends have been released, except for 5 people who have pending bond violations because they had been arrested last Saturday as well. They are being held until they go to bond court tomorrow. Locations & details are here, please try to come down at these times and show some support.
In addition, we are joining National Nurses United to picket the mayor’s office at 10 a.m. Monday (10/24), at City Hall at the LaSalle entrance. Nurse leaders of NNU who set up a nurses’ station to provide basic first aid to Chicago protesters – as NNU has done peacefully in five other cities across the U.S. – were among the some those arrested. We appreciate their service to this movement and stand in solidarity for everyone’s right to practice free speech. We will meet at Jackson & LaSalle to march over at 9am.
Details of Court Locations:
Aside from the 9am court hearing at Belmont and Western the rest are at 2:30 pm in 4 different court houses. The reason they have split the occupiers up is so we have a harder time getting them some support, let’s prove them wrong!

5555 W. Grand – 2:30pm (Greg Goodman)
2452 W. Belmont 2:30pm ( Richard Malvin)
3151 W. Harrison – 2:30pm (Alec Plant)
727 E. 111th – 2:30pm (Mary Jo Fessenmier)
